Location: Delta Richmond, British Columbia
Program: Youth Works
Description: Prelude was piloted as part of the program in April 2008. The 11 clients did not finish the fourth game module, because of scheduling challenges. However, the overall experience was perceived as positive and worthwhile. Melanie Archer, an Employment Coach, facilitated Prelude. She has been involved with the game since 2005. It’s worth noting that Gavin Thompson Microsoft Canada’s Director of Community Affairs, a key BGCC sponsor, noted that Prelude could be an ideal program enhancer.
