Windsor Park Collegiate: Winnipeg

Early this year, Windsor Park Collegiate initiated a unique Prelude pilot. WPC is part of the Louis Riel School Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The school has 510 students [Grades 9 -12],  38 teachers, and 36 support staff. To start, Prelude was introduced to a Grade 12 class participating in the school’s Career Internship Program. The Elements as Metaphor

The poet Octavio Paz described the world as “A conspiration of elements all moved by universal sympathy.” This also reflects the spirit of Prelude. a learning game that utilizes the four natural elements as metaphors. 52 McCaul

Three weeks ago tonight, a unique Prelude session took place at 52 McCaul here in downtown Toronto. This is a wonderful new multi-use hub for local and international art and events. The session was unique on two counts. First, it brought together about 20 artists and designers to play Prelude. Second, not everyone knew each other. Cross Cultural Student Videoconference

On May 11 students in the United Arab Emirates and Canada participated in a videoconference to share their experiences playing Prelude. More specifically, this involved 40 first-year business students at the Women’s College in Dubai and 32 Grade 11 students at Massey-Vanier High School in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
