The company specializes in language arts and ESL programs that promote and facilitate the development of communication skills in the English language. Since 2001, the Company has published more than 278 million units in China from its library of 340 program titles, and 350 online speaking lessons and 250 eZines. Lingo Media also operates Speak2Me, . Using speech recognition technology and an avatar (animation), Speak2Me provides lessons involving conversations with a virtual person. It is also a social-network facility that allows students to form study groups, creating an environment that, along with, , just as in a conventional classroom

Program: Staff Training

Description: Lingo Media is interested in introducing Prelude to its client network in China. As a first step, a hands-on training workshop was held as part of a staff retreat. Given time and setting restrictions, staff played Module 1 in advance and the fourth game module wasn’t played. General consensus was this was an important experience. Further exploration is planned for Spring 2010 once Lingo Media integrates a web portal called Parlo it recently purchased.
